Novell revenue dips 12% profit meets estimates

While the company’s operating margin continued to improve in the quarter Novell Chief Executive Ron Hovsepian said in a statement “revenue performance was similar to many companies in the software industry. Novell said its open platform solutions software saw $40 million in product revenue in the period up 22% compared to the period last year. However identity and security management software product revenue fell 16% while systems and resource management software product revenue fell 15%. Workgroup product revenue fell 12% Novell said. Novell said it expects “to maintain double-digit non-GAAP operating margins in the full fiscal year 2009 barring unforeseen circumstances. Working withthree other partners is like having three spouses as he describes it andoverseeing seven staff members and clients with large and complex accounts is noeasy task either.
