Pang the founder and ex-chief executive of Private Equity Management Group Inc and Private Equity Management LLC has denied wrongdoing and says government regulators are basing their claims that he defrauded Asia-based investors mainly Taiwanese of hundreds of millions of dollars on the word of a disgruntled employee. District Judge Philip Gutierrez told Pang’s lawyers and Securities and Exchange Commission attorneys that he will rule on whether to grant a permanent injunction on July 6. Pang’s lawyers have asked that he receive $25000 per month from his personal assets to cover living expenses plus additional funds for legal fees.
