Novell announced two moves today meant to bolster its identity and access management business. The first is the acquisition of the technology assets of complianceand user management vendor Fortefi which Novell plans to use as thebasis for the upcoming release of Novell Privileged User Manager in thesecond quarter of 2009. The second identity and access management play is a perpetual sourcecode license to ActivIdentity’s single sign-on tool SecureLogin whichhas been available to Novell customers as Novell SecureLogin through anEM agreement since 2001.
