CA to Buy Role-Based Identity Management Vendor Eurekify
eWeek, NY
The deal is meant to deepen CA’s ability to offer role-based identity and compliance management and is the fruit of several months of collaboration between the two vendors. CA has made a deal to snag Eurekify in a bid to deepen CA’s abilities in role-based identity and compliance management. The terms of the deal were not disclosed, but the purchase is the
culmination of several months of collaboration on the integration and
sale of Eurekify technology as part of the larger CA Security
Management Business Unit solution. At the center of Eurekify’s role
modeling capabilities is an engine that uses pattern-based analytics to
reduce the time and effort involved in role management. With this acquisition, CA officials hope to deliver deeper product
integration, as well continue to develop and extend the technology
around role-based, business-driven identity management and access
control.

ATLANTA, GA, Nov 13, 2008 (MARKET WIRE via COMTEX) –
The credit crisis that is dramatically affecting the commercial real
estate industry is the impetus for a new practice group at Morris,
Manning & Martin, LLP. The Atlanta-based law firm is launching a new
Commercial Real Estate Debt Management Practice, offering legal
support and practical business advice to real estate owners. “Refinancing simply may not be available to replace mortgage loans as
they mature,” says MMM Partner Nick Sears, who heads the new group. “Moreover, if the economy continues to degenerate, borrowers may not
be able to derive sufficient cash flow from their properties to make
regular monthly debt service payments,” he adds. “Our team is particularly well-situated to assist commercial real
estate developers and owners with managing their relationship with
lenders, as well as the lenders’ loan servicers, in restructuring
mortgage and mezzanine loans, identifying tax issues and resolving
joint venture partnership disputes,” Mr.

MCB needed a solution that would allow them to manage
terminology for their software that runs on numerous OEM handheld
devices. In addition to managing their own internal terminology, MCB
needed to integrate existing terminology from numerous OEMs. The market leading terminology management solution from SDL was
selected because of its ability to scalable to manage the large volume
of multilingual terms needed by MCB and ensure Microsoft brand
consistency, which is widely regarded as one of the world’s strongest
brands. Ease of use was a key factor to MCB, in particular, the
customization of entries and attributes within the tool. SDL
MultiTerm’s ability to work in a graphical interface, incorporating
both text and images, will allow the translators to better understand
the devices they are translating. The system will provide access to
approved terminology for translators, creating global content for MCB
mobile products and ensuring the consistency of product documentation
in multilingual versions. SDL is now working with MCB to implement an SDL MultiTerm solution to
help centralize terminology.
